Space Informers, invading Bucharest with informal informative panels, is the 7th workshop of Urban Scenarios for Bucharest. The series addresses 5th year architecture students from Spiru Haret University, being the applied part to the Urban Experience curriculum. Bucharest lacks in retelling its story. Commemorative plaques, red dots, monument tags, warning signs and official clock posts signalling historical buildings or public perils are scarce in both the information they share and in their appeal.
We took on the workshop as an experiment, testing the city and its citizens. For one week we searched stories, documents, photographs, testimonials, memorable characters that we could use as basis for our informational guerrilla. The area we chose for our endeavour lays between Brezoianu Street, Iosif Sava Square, Doamnei Church and the blind wall of the former Pathe Cinema.
